1.  Is there a discount for long term boarding?

We currently have no discount (other than senior) as it is common for a cat’s stay to average 1-3 weeks.  However, for an extended stay (such as a month or longer) the customer can talk to management about a possible discount.

2.  My cat is very spoiled and is used to a whole house (with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms), I don't want him cooped up in a tiny cage.  Can I have the big one?

We can reserve a larger wire suite for $25/night.  Otherwise they are first come, first serve. Cats are never cooped up in kennels at The Cats' Inn they are allowed to roam freely anywhere between 3-6 hrs per day depending on the cats?preference. This is their world!

3.  How big are the suites there?

The regular stainless steel suites are about 2' x 3' x 3'.  Our larger double are 5' x 3' x 2'.  Our smaller doubles are 48" x 33" x 29".  Our $25 wire suites run from 24" x 26" x 36" to 27" x 35” x 30".

4.  How many cats can stay at the Inn at one time?

It's hard to say.  We are quite busy during the summer and holidays, and we can't give an exact number.

5.  What is the cancellation policy?

We currently do not have a fee for cancellations.  Just PLEASE let us know ASAP if you need to cancel.  This includes grooming appointments.

6.  What about fleas?  My cat is an indoor kitty - I don't want it to catch fleas.

We have a “no flea” policy.  Any cat that is spotted with fleas will be given Frontline flea control at the parents’ expense.

7.  My cat likes to sleep with my lucky polka dot t-shirt, can I bring it to put in his cage for his snuggle benefit?

You are welcome to bring any special items that your cat might like.  However, please try to label them the best that you can because there is a possibility that it will get lost as we do the laundry every day and The Cats' Inn will not be responsible for items left behind.

8.  Is there a deposit?

We require a 50% deposit on all stays over 2 weeks.  We also need to put your credit card on file.  Because of the long stay, we need to make sure that we are prepared should there be an emergency and your cat is taken to the vet.

9.   I need transportation.  How much is it?

$15 for up to an 8 mile radius, additional outside.

10.  If my cat needs to go to the vet while he is boarding with you, is there an extra charge?  Will you take it to my vet?

We will charge for transportation and additional time.  If it is a preplanned visit we will need your credit card information on file.  We take all our cats to Belmont Pet Hospital and they can contact your vet for any information needed.

11.  My cat is old and I insist that it does not need to be vaccinated.

We must insist that the cat does not board with us unless it is current.  ALL cats must have their FVRCP before they can board - this is for the safety of all our kitties.

12.  My cat is an FIV + cat.

The charge for an FIV cat is $25/night.  This is because we must keep the cat separated from all other cats.  It can still come out to play, but it will be put into the playroom by him/herself.

13.  Will my cat need sedation to be groomed?

Not all cats need to be sedated.  Most don't.  Those cats that are unable to be groomed without sedation will need to have the parent bring it in from the vet as we cannot prescribe it.  We will administer it if needed.  It takes an hour to 2 hrs before the effects of the sedation set in.

14.  My cat needs medication, is that a problem?  Is there an extra charge?

We are trained to give medication (pills, injections, fluids, etc.).  There is no extra charge for pills or injections.  We do charge an added fee of $5.00 for every day that fluids are given.  All liquid medication must be premixed before it is brought in.

15.  What happens if there is a fire while you are gone during the night?

Our building is set up with a sprinkler system and the Belmont fire department is on our same block.  They would respond almost immediately.  Plus we have a security and fire monitoring system that is monitored 24 hrs/day.

16. My kids want to run around the building and play with all the kitties, can they do that?

We must ask that you accompany your kids if they need to come assist us in finding your cat its suite.

17.  What about the fact that I own the world's cutest kitten?

Marika will gladly volunteer to spend extra time with your kitten J.  Will it fit in her pocket
